Overcome Your Limitations and Create a New Belief System

First of all, we all deal with limiting beliefs and negative thought patterns – this is nothing to be ashamed of.  It’s important that you recognize that you do have these in order to break free from them. This is one of the first things we look deep into in all my different coaching packages. In short, limiting beliefs tells you things like:

 I’m not good enough. I can’t do this. What if I fail, then I will look like an complete idiot. I’m to young, I am to old, I wish I looked like her..

You get the picture what your limiting beliefs are all about! It’s your ego and inner critic killing your spark with all this never ending mind chatter that basically tells you that you’re never good enough or worthy of all the things you truly desire. Take your time to read this post and be honest about what’s really holding you back.

Getting to know the voice in your head

Getting to know what your inner self-dialogue sounds like is, oh so massively important.  If you truly want to break free from limitations you simply can’t skip this step. Dealing with all these internal limitations starts with you becoming fully aware of the thoughts you have related to fear, self-doubt, and even self-sabotage. 

Once you do that, you can learn how to coexist with them since they’re part of humanity. The goal is not to kill the ego and your fears, the goal is to make friends with that inner limiting voice of yours so you don’t let it sabotage your life. Know that you have the power to overcome them –  and to replace them with more loving ones.

Don’t run away from your fears

I used to be one of those women who wanted to become fearless, like that would be an attractive goal. It just isn’t realistic, we are human beings and we’re all dealing with approx 70 000 thoughts per day and as many emotions connected to them. And that’s okay, you just need to get to know yours and realize that they are not your reality, nor truth. You need to become the observer of your own mind.

Know that you are a powerful creator and you get to choose your thoughts! When you do that, you can manage them and then dissolve it to overcome the limitation. In this way, overcoming fear is more of a dance than a confrontation or war. You simply see them for what they are and observe them – but just don’t give too much power to them. Meaning, don’t let them control you or run the story of your life.

Decide to go for a new belief system

Know that your current belief systems are just thoughts that can shift, change, or be permanently deleted if you want to. It’s all about mindset mastery and getting to know yourself in order to choose what kind of belief system you do want. Know this, your beliefs can be pulled from your unconscious to the conscious anytime. 

However, this requiere you’re awareness so you DO need to learn how to recognize them in order to be able to rewire them when they’re out of alignment. If you truly want to break free from what’s holding you back, create long lasting change and transform into something new – this is where you essentially need to start. 

Just because certain beliefs have been imprinted in you since childhood doesn’t mean they can’t be rewired. You are capable of change at any time in your life,  know that! Adaptability as well as flexibility is a vital part of your nature, who you truly are and is always available to you as long as you’re willing to to commit to inner work.

Identify your negative and limiting beliefs 

This is an exercise I always include in all my coaching programs, because you must “become friends” with all the things that’s holding your back in order for you to truly change. If you aren’t aware what’s holding you back you’re not gonna make it far. 

Ask yourself what specific things you want more of in your life. 

And do not hold back on your dreams. It can be everything from better health, wealth or more loving relationships and so on. Let’s say you want a better health or a new loving partner for example, then you need to ask yourself: “What things are currently holding me back from manifesting this?” 

Give yourself time to really reflect on these questions and be really honest about what’s coming up for you. No one is judging your answers and in order to get to where you want to be, there is no hiding from what’s really going on within yourself. What are the beliefs that’s holding you back from living the life you would love?

Rewire your brain with new beliefs 

Grab a pen and write your answers down on paper or in´your journal and go through them one by one. For every limiting belief you identify write a follow-up belief that overrides the limitation. For example, you might write something like “I want to prioritize my health, but I don’t know where to start and I don’t really have any time”. 

Rewire that situation by saying to yourself, “I’m worthy of feeling radiantly alive, vital and healthy, I am willing to take better care of myself.” This is a very powerful exercise and over time this is how you over time with consistency reprogram your subconscious mind into loving and empowering beliefs that support your desires.

Write a new powerful belief for every negative belief you acknowledge. Catch any negative self-talk that is misaligned with the phrases you wrote down. This is how you over time prove that you have the power to overcome all your limitations. It’s okay to fall back, just make this practise a daily habit and watch what happens!

Open Up to Limitless Possibilities

The truth is beautiful that you are limitless. The only thing that’s holding you back in life is the limits you’ve made up in your mind. That’s why it’s essential for you to step up, be brave and take a honest look at all the fears and limiting beliefs that you’ve put on yourself and how they’re holding you back in life. 

When you open your mind and heart to the limitless possibilities for making all your dreams and desires a reality, you create more openings for the universe to manifest those kind of outcomes in your lives. Again, you are the creator and you decide what kind of thoughts you want to keep and let go off.
